BEFORE YOU BOOK
Good collection and delivery instructions help us plan the vehicle, handling and handoff at each location.
Identify whether each location is a business, warehouse or residence. Include access restrictions and tell us if a loading dock, forklift or other handling equipment is available.
Share the collection reference, contact person and appointment requirements when known. For a port or airport movement, identify the international shipment it connects with.
Tell us who can load at origin and unload at destination. If assistance is needed, request it when asking for the quote so it can be assessed as part of the scope.
DECISIONS THAT SHAPE THE SHIPMENT
The road leg connects the international shipment with real collection and delivery conditions. An address, a contact and a handling plan work together.
List long pieces, non-stackable units and unusual weight distribution separately. Photos can help explain the load, but they complement the measurements and loading instructions rather than replacing them.
Share opening hours, booking references, check-in instructions and the person who can authorize release. A requested collection date depends on the goods being available and the location being able to receive the vehicle.
A business with a dock and a residence without handling equipment have different receiving needs. Confirm who unloads, where the goods can be placed, and whether additional handling needs assessment.
| Stage | What should be clear |
|---|---|
| Collection | Vehicle access, release contact, loading equipment and appointment. |
| Terminal connection | Shipment reference, partner release instructions and terminal handoff. |
| Final delivery | Receiving contact, access, unloading responsibility and delivery confirmation. |
It depends on the agreed service. Explain the equipment and people available at the receiving point, and request any assistance explicitly so its availability and cost can be assessed.
Tell us as soon as the release changes. The partner may need to adjust the vehicle or appointment, and any waiting, cancellation or rebooking conditions should be checked in the agreed quote.
Residential addresses can be assessed for the route and cargo involved. Provide access limits, stairs, parking conditions and handling needs before the quote is confirmed.
Origin, destination, cargo description, package count, weight and dimensions. Add your target ready date and any special handling requirements.
